It truly is too bad to hear that Road 13 is doing away with it’s Pinot. One of the few Okanagan Valley producers to commit to a traditional, burgundian style of Pinot Noir, this vintage is simply excellent.
The nose is pure New World red fruit, however as it settles both on the palate and in the glass, the strawberry remains but complimented by earthiness and cedar. I had an inclination of higher alcohol than the bottle states (a shade over 13.2%), which I suppose is good or bad depending on what your intentions are post-consumption!
$40 if bought direct from the winery (as I do); unfortunately much pricier within Alberta. Shame.
